Residents at Willow Tree House spent some time recently looking through some archives that had been sent to us by Marks and Spencer’s, showing how things were – back in the day! These brought back some fond memories for our residents and led them to share some lovely stories! Who would have thought that at one time, your collar was not attached to your shirt!
One of our residents, Lesley, shared a lovely story with everyone. When he was collecting his wife from her new job one day, after her telling him to not embarrass her by going to collect her in his “scruffs,” he turned up in his finest suit! He could not hold back the laughs when explaining her reaction! We think secretly she must have been very proud.
